Recently, the Okanagan Film Commission in Kelowna BC ran an add
soliciting
funds for the continued operation of the commission there. This
goverment
funded agency has done little or nothing to decrease the high
unemployment
rate in the Okanagan valley and the only person making a living from
it is
the current film commissioner Mark Flett. It has been said that
wherever the
film industry goes, crime and corruption closely follow. No where has
this
been more true than in Vancouver BC. Soon after Vancouver became third
largest filming centre in North America, the Hells Angels set up shop
and
started investing in companies such as 81 Transport of Haney BC. 81
Transport (The 8 being the eigth letter of the alphabet H and the 1
being an
A stands for Hells Angels) The owner of 81 Transport is also the
Accountant
for the Haney chapter of the Hells Angels. There are now two dozen
companies
in vancouver that are run by the Hells Angels and are active members
of
Teamsters Local 155 which takes it's orders from the same.
Does the Okanagan valley need this type of business....NO! so why
should
public funds be used to pay for it's exploratory trips to the interior
in
the name of Entertainment Business. In Vancouver there are some 35,000
people work in the business of which nearly a quarter use illegal
narcotics.
Over the past fifteen years I have learned exactly what makes the film
business tick. There are closely guarded secrets in the business,
here's an
example:

Two years ago an Executive Producer from Hollyweird hired me to
produce a
feature film. His wife was the director of the project. Within weeks
of
signing a deal memo the Producer began inquiring about the purchase of
several thousand pounds of Pseudo-efedrine, legal in Canada for making
cough
syrup but illegal in the US because it is the main manufacturing
ingredient
in Crack and speed. He wanted it shipped in film containers which
couldn't
be x rayed and to my knowledge this is still the shipping method used.
After reporting this to the RCMP I found out that this person has sent
several 'enforcers' across the border with a large cache of hand guns
(He
bragged about the ease of which these men and guns moved through the
Blaine
border crossing).
His sister is a member of the DEA and informs him of any trouble
heading his
way and a second sister is on the LA police Department and informs him
of
other information regarding his activities.
This person wants to set up shop in vancouver as a studio and shoot
films
there.
The film industry in vancouver is already full to the brim with
criminal
elements and I have often wondered why the RCMP do nothing to
confiscate the
proceeds of crime. Of course this would leave Vancouver with no Mobile
changing rooms or other trucks required to make films but hey, that's
life.
Do we want this element of criminal activity in the Okanagan....NO! so
why
should Joe Public be asked to fund the very agency that invites it in.
My
vote.....Shut down the BC Film Commission and tell the criminals to go
back
under the rocks they came from and let the Okanagan Film Commission
die a
natural death.

EVERY TWO DAYS A CERTAIN CRIMINAL ELEMENT OF THE FILM INDUSTRY IN
VANCOUVER
WILL BE EXPOSED HERE. NAMES, PLACES AND TIMES WILL BE LISTED.

Episode 1: Well known actress phones driver to pick her up at 3am so
she can
make a very large purchese of Pot to ship home. Nearly four Kilograms
of
High grade pot were purchased near Gastown and sent to LA by FEDEX
successfully. The shipment was paid for by the Executive producer of
the
film who's name will be posted here tomorrow. He runs a small
independant
studio on East Second Avenue in Vancouver and makes up to a dozen
straight-to-video features per year. His lawyers are the best in
vancouver
and this is proof that crime does pay when you have good lawyers who
prosecute any and all that cross their client(s).

Episode 2: A Teamster driver, high on cocaine and 'stay-awake' pills
works
for ten weeks straight getting no more than one and a half hours sleep
per
night. One night he is told to go back to Whistler to pick up crew
after
working eighteen hours straight and falls asleep on the Sea-to-Sky
highway,
crossing lanes and killing a young woman and her son as they crash
head on.
The teamsters hire a top lawyer and he gets of with a careless driving
ticket. A teamster member was dispatched within minutes of the
accident to
make sure that any evidence of drugs or alcohol were removed from the
vehicle. A North vancouver Police officer is paid $1,000 cash to look
the
other way as evidence is removed from the wreck as the ambulance
removes the
bodies from the other vehicle.

Stay tuned folks, there's more to come.
