or 1995 (probably 1995) in Vancouver.
I had borrowed a book of Dylan Thomas stories from my
W.I.S.E. Club friend Bert (Lambert) Beson, who is also a
Newfoundlander, and had it with me at a Kitsilano laundromat.
A slightly strange (maybe fairy-like, I forget) couple came in
and saw the book and got me to read from it to them.
But then later when I moved back to Newfoundland I took
the book with me, and Bert was mad at that, and I had
to ship it back to him. Anyway, I hope he and his wife
Sharon are in good health.
May 14 is International Dylan Thomas Day.
"An international day to celebrate the life and work of Welsh poet
Dylan Thomas, held each year on 14th May, the anniversary of
the date when Under Milk Wood was first read on stage at
92Y The Poetry Center, New York in 1953."
He may have suffered from bipolar disorder and was an alcoholic.
That reminds me of an incident that happened to me in 1994"An international day to celebrate the life and work of Welsh poet
