YAY Vincent Lalonde the McCallum enabler has resigned as city manager I have been calling for that even sent him emails and a letter in regard to that. Surrey City Manager Vincent Lalonde has decided to retire after nine years in the role.

Leaving the position caps off his 26 years working for the city in numerous positions, including general manager of the engineering department.

“This decision has not been an easy one, but after 26 years of an incredible run at the City of Surrey, I am announcing that I am hanging up my skates as City Manager,” said Lalonde.

Mayor Brenda Locke commended Lalonde’s leadership in the city during the COVID-19 pandemic and thanked him for the senior management team he put into place.

“On behalf of Surrey City Council, I want to thank Vince for his remarkable dedication to the City of Surrey,” said Locke.

Beyond his work for the City of Surrey, Lalonde also served as the chair of Metro Vancouver Regional Administrators Advisory Committee and as the BC Board Representative of the Canadian Association of Municipal Administrators.

Rob Costanzo, general manager of corporate services, will step in to replace Lalonde as acting city manager.

City Manager Vince Lalonde was given an award for 25 years service most ppl clapped I did not because I had urged him to quit or be fired after McCallum was voted out but after reflecting I realized I never knew the guy existed until the last run of McCallum so what the hey guess he just had a cpl of bad years. 2/3rds of the ppl present left after the various development proposals were finished I complimented one Indo speaker for articulating why he wanted the problem property on his block finally developed the only opposition to that idea was to have residential instead of industrial development there many complained about the traffic there saying it took over 5 minutes to drive a block at rush hour.

Someone needs to educate McCallum, Surrey city manager Vincent Lalonde, and others at Surrey City Hall that it's almost certainly unconstitutional for municipal staff to ticket canvassers who are acting reasonably on public property. That's because bylaw officers' actions appear to contradict the findings of the courts in the Commonwealth of Canada ruling.

The decision to have Surrey taxpayers pay the legal bills of the lying Mayor made by you is inexcusable and a waste of taxpayer money. The Mayor said to the media he was at the mall to do grocery shopping he was seen going into the Save On Foods at the mall so he was not on official business. Were you the person who okayed the Surrey taxpayers giving McCallum a $43k white Buick without telling the media or Surrey residents on top of a $14k gasoline allowance a better perk than any other Lower Mainland Mayor has. The Mayor has been photographed filling up his Buick at the Surrey Works Yard Surrey mayor's city-owned car and car allowance should be reviewed by ethics commissioner, councillor says | CTV News so is there any routine auditing of the Mayor's generous expense account and if not why not?

The lying Mayor has told two different stories about what happened in the mall parking lot but there apparently is no cell phone video, no car video, no eyewitness accounts that back the Mayor up. He has been charged with public mischief for filing a false police report he is entitled to a legal defense and his day in court but he should pay for it out of his own funds not ripoff Surrey taxpayers to do it. The Mayor lives in a nice Crescent Beach home worth more than a million dollars and gets his nice Mayors pay he can pay his own legal bills and ethically and morally he should.

A former school administrator has been banned from teaching for 15 years after being caught in a ‘creep catcher’ sting.
Mark Louis Pierotti was head of Aspengrove School in Lantzville when he was fired last summer for allegedly engaging in inappropriate communication with a person who stated they were under the age of consent.
A consent resolution agreement released Tuesday, Aug. 8, by the B.C. Commissioner for Teacher Regulation, noted that Pierotti relinquished his certificate of qualification on Sept. 20, 2022, just eight days after the school reported the allegation to the commissioner under the Independent Schools Act.

According to the agreement, Pierotti used the Grindr dating app to contact a person who listed his age as 21, but then communicated that he was 15 years old. The person was actually an adult male vigilante posing as a teen to try to catch sexual predators. Pierotti’s ensuing messages included, “You know. Better not. You are too young and it’s not legal. So when ur of age let me know. I can come say hi and we can meet just so you know I’m not a jerk … I’m guessing you have hooked up w older guys before … I’m on my way we can talk and go from there.”
The vigilante met Pierotti at a prearranged meeting place. Pierotti was sitting in his car and drove off as the man approached and used his cell phone to record the interaction. The vigilante then posted the cell phone video recording and Grindr messages on Facebook.
The administrator’s employment with the school was terminated Aug. 27.
On Oct, 6 the commissioner proposed a consent resolution agreement with Pierotti in accordance with the Teachers Act, in which he admitted the facts set out in the agreement are true, that his conduct was “unbecoming” and “contrary” to the standard of the Professional Standards for B.C. Educators, and that he will not apply for, nor be issued, a certificate of qualification, an independent school teaching certificate or any other authorization to teach Kindergarten to Grade 12 for 15 years.
“After being told that the youth was 15, years old, Pierotti continued to send messages, some with sexual content, and also arranged to meet the youth,” stated Ana R. Mohammed, commissioner, in the agreement. “Pierotti was aware of the age of consent and that sexual activity with a 15 year old would be criminal in nature. [His] conduct became known to the public through the Facebook posting [and his] conduct undermines the public’s confidence in the education system.”
The agreement was signed July 27.
