As a general rule, organisations are rarely made illegal. The ACTIONS that
they promote are quite illegal, and possibly promoting or encouraging them
is illegal, but making the organisation itself and membership in it illegal
is remarkably uncommon. That's why the gang membership laws are such a big
deal.

I wouldn't be surprised if NAMBLA is run by police somewhere. If I were a
child molestor I don't think I would be inclined to join a club.
